Congress leaders and workers fondly recalled the incredible nation-building efforts of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru after being actively participating in the freedom struggle, along with Mahatma Gandhi and other great leaders, and underwent incarceration to free the country from the yokes of British rule. And it was due to the vision, hard work and forethought of the first Prime Minister of Independent India Pandit Nehru that the foundation-stone of India’s progress and development was laid to lead the country on the path of modernism and development.
