KIET Group of Institutions Celebrates “Yoga for Humanity”: 8th International Yoga Day 2022

New Delhi (27/06/2022): On Tuesday, 21st June 2022, KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad, celebrated the 8th edition of International Yoga Day 2022 with great zeal and enthusiasm from 06:30am to 07:45am.

The event began with the heartfelt wishes by the institute’s Director, Dr. (Col) A Garg, who expressed his views on the theme of this year’s international yoga day, viz. “Yoga for Humanity” and also highlighted how yoga has been a catalyst in keeping the citizens of India healthy during the Covid period.

Sports officers helped all the participants to perform various types of Yoga postures, including Suryanamaskar, Naukasana, Dhanurasana, Kapalabhati, Anulom vilom and others.

 

In addition to the faculty and staff members, the students of KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad were also equally motivated to participate and perform yoga in all the eight hostels of the institute, under the supervision of their respective rectors and wardens.

After the event, Director, Dr. (Col) A Garg congratulated all the participants for their active participation and said, “yoga must be an integral part of our routine activities. It not only energizes the body, but also increases the work efficiency of an individual.”

The event was concluded by Dr. Satish Kumar (Dean Student Welfare), who proposed a vote of thanks to all the Deans, HoDs, Professors and other participants for arranging and managing the entire event successfully.
