Bhopal, June 24: The first death due to the delta plus variant of COVID-19 has been reported from Madhya Pradesh. A lady had contracted the delta plus variant and this was found in the patient’s samples that were taken for genome sequencing an India Today report said.
The report also said that the patient died on May 23. Officials quoted in the report said that her husband had also contracted COVID-19. The contract tracing of the deceased person has been married out and all the reports were found negative.
