An Army man allegedly ended his life with his service pistol in Samba area of Jammu division of the state on Tuesday.
According to reports the Army soldier has been identified as Naresh Kumar Yadav who shot himself with the service pistol.
He was found dead with bullet injuries in the Maheshwar area, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba Anil Magotra told.
The body has been recovered and sent to post-mortem, he said.
Adding that initial investigation pointed out towards suicide, an investigation has been initiated.
Yadav’s death is the second in a day after an army man shot himself dead, allegedly, in Qazigund area of Srinagar today.
