New Delhi, Feb 14 A Delhi Police constable was killed after his motorcycle was hit by a truck in the Model Town area here, police said today.
The constable Vinod Malik (55) was deployed with the first Battalion of the Delhi Armed Police and was returning home when his bike was hit by a truck late last night, said a police officer.
Malik was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead, said the officer.
The accident took place on the road between Azadpur and Kingsway Camp in Model Town area of north west Delhi. The truck driver managed to escape from the spot after the accident, police said.
