Finance minister Arun Jaitley announced on Thursday a Union Budget with a string of populist giveaways, from free cooking gas to a health plan for the poor.
In his Budget speech, Jaitley announced that the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for notified kharif crops would be 1.5 times of the cost incurred by farmers for production.
