The Election Commission of India has written to Delhi Police requesting them to lodge an FIR and investigate self-claimed cyber expert Syed Shuja, who alleged electronic voting machines were hacked in 2014 General elections. ECI said Shuja violated the IPC by spreading rumours which create panic. Shuja, at a London event, claimed EVMs used by ECI can be tampered with.
