Mega Tree plantation programme with Duathlon organised by ANAHITA FOUNDATION in association with Noida Development Authority on World Environment Day

The residents and cyclist communities of NCR particippated in a Duathlon and tree plantation drive this 9th June to raise awareness about environmental issues and celebrate the Environment Week.

As a part of the celebration, cyclists from active fitness groups like Dare2Gear and Cycloholics are taking part in a Duathlon where they had ridden cycle for a distance of 25 Km from Noida to CWG stadium spreading the message for a clean and green environment and then participated in a run at the stadium. After this they cycled back to Noida to join the tree plantation drive with the residents in Sector 15.

Manoj Singh Founder President of Anahita Foundation, said, “We are very pleased to see the response and enthusiasm from the residents and cyclist communities towards this initiative. We believe that even small efforts taken today can bring in big change tomorrow. A tree plantation drive and adopting a organic lifestyle is our humble contribution in leaving a healthier planet for our future generations. At the same time the growing pollution levels in our cities is a major concern and it is very reassuring to see the growing community of cyclists around Delhi NCR. To encourage more people to adopt this environment friendly means of commute, we are also doing a duathlon”. To re energise all the participants, Juicy Organic Fruits sponsored by ANAHITA NATURALS, were also distributed among all the participants.
