• Union Minister Vijay Goel conducts Mohalla Sabha in Chandni Chowk to seek public opinion on Kejriwal splurging taxpayers’ money on legal bills

• Another Mohalla Sabha will be conducted on 06 April at 12pm near Gate No.1 of Palika Bazar in Connaught Place

05 April, New Delhi – Union Minister Vijay Goel today conducted a Mohalla Sabha in Chandni Chowk to seek public opinion on Kejriwal splurging taxpayers’ money on legal bills. Recently media had exposed Kejriwal’s legal bills and expenditure to hire Ram Jethmalani against the defamation case against Union Minister Arun Jaitley.

During the Mohalla Sabha forms were distributed to the audience asking queries whether the hard-earned money of taxpayers should be spent on hiring lawyers for as exorbitant as Rs.1 crore. Around 2000 people were distributed these opinion forms.

Goel said that the public mood was unanimous and they all felt cheated that their tax was being splurged by Kejriwal to defend his image. “On one hand Kejriwal promises people free water, electricity etc. but on the other hand he blows up the taxpayers money to safeguard his image by legal means which is costing nearly 4 crores as per media reports”, Goel said.

Goel also posted a Twitter Poll asking people whether Kejriwal had cheated people, a whopping 91% said Yes. Goel stated that similar Opinion Polls on ground would be held. Organisers of today’s Mohalla Sabha Sh. Achal Sharma and Deeepak Jain said they will conduct yet another similar Sabha tomorrow at Palika Bazar’s Gate No.1 in Delhi’s Connaught Place.
