Class XI Student Arrested in Ryan School Murder Case

Gurugram, Nov 8: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested a student of Ryan International School studying in the eleventh standard in connection with the murder of Pradyuman Thakur. As per reports, the CBI made the arrest after questioning this Class XI student multiple times.

According to initial TV reports, the suspect was detained, but later it was stated the student was arrested. The victim’s father, Vikram Thakur, while speaking to the TV channel said he was unaware about the new development and did not know about any arrest so far.

Earlier a school bus conductor was arrested and molestation was also suspected. However, once the CBI took over the matter, it was stated that there was no molestation involved in the case. According to reports, the CBI picked up the Class XI student at around 11 pm on Tuesday.

Pradyuman, a class II student, was found with his throat slit in the school bathroom on September 8. This led to widespread protests around the country, with questions raised about the security of students in schools.

This was followed by the arrest of the Ryan school owners, who were later granted an interim bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Pradyuman’s father later approached the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of interim bail.
