New Delhi, Aug 9 Mainly clear skies prevailed in the national capital with the maximum temperature settling at 36.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal, a MeT Department official said.
The humidity oscillated between 94 and 59 per cent.
The Safdarjung observatory, recording of which is considered the official figure for the city, received 0.6 mm of rainfall till 8.30 am.
The weather office has predicted light rains and thundershowers for tomorrow.
“The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 37 and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively,” the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was 33.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature settled at 26.5 degrees Celsius, the official said.
