New Delhi: Rio Olympic silver-medallist PV Sindhu has made it to the final of the Dubai World Super Series Finals after defeating China’s Chen Yufei in the last-four clash today (December 16). The ace Indian shuttler defeated her Chinese counterpart in straight games 21-15, 21-18 in a contest that lasted 58 minutes.
The Indian shuttler, who is unbeaten thus far in the tournament, will now take on Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi in the summit clash on Sunday (December 17) Interestingly, on day three of the tournament, Sindhu eased past Yamaguchi 21-9, 21-13 in the last group stage fixture.
Courtesy her win over Yamaguchi, Sindhu finished at the top of Group A in the women’s singles. Meanwhile, this was the sixth meeting between Sindhu and Chen Yufei
