Ahmedabad, Dec 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attacked the Congress party for “choosing youth leader Salman Nizami from the party to campaign in the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017 who had called Indian Army rapists”. “Salman Nizami asks on Twitter- Modi who is your father, who is your mother? “He also says there will be an Afzal from every home. How can the people accept such people like Salman Nizami?” Modi asked, adding Salman Nizami wrote about Rahul Gandhi’s father and grandmother. “…but he asks – Modi tell me who is your Mother, who is your father? Such language can’t even be used for enemies,” Modi said addressing a gathering in Lunavada ahead of the second phase polling in Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017.
Denying such charges, the grand-old party said that they don’t even know anyone by this name. “We don’t know any Salman Nizami. He doesn’t hold any position in the party,” said Rajiv Shukla on PM Modi’s remarks about Salman Nizami. Shukla added that the Congress party can also name an “unknown person Ram Lal in BJP who said something”. He asked PM Modi if Salman Nizami is from his own party.
