Gopal Rai new convener of Delhi AAP

New Delhi: Delhi Labour Minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Gopal Rai has been appointed as the new state convenor of the party after Dilip Pandey resigned from the post, sources said today. They said the decision to appoint Mr Rai was taken in a meeting of AAP legislators held here at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence. Mr Pandey tendered his resignation from the post following AAP’s debacle in the MCD polls and asked party chief Arvind Kejriwal to appoint someone else. "I have resigned from the post of AAP Delhi Convenor, conveyed to National Convenor @ArvindKejriwal to give this responsibility to someone else," the AAP leader tweeted yesterday.
