New Delhi, Nov 13: While there will be a holiday for schools and government offices in Delhi on the occasion of Children’s Day, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has also deferred the ‘Dilli for children festival’ scheduled to be held on November 14 to November 19 due to the dense smog situation prevailing on the national capital. November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day or Bal Diwas across the country to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
“Because of the #Delhismog, the #Delhi4Children festival which was scheduled on November 14, now will be held on November 19,” tweeted Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday.
