New Delhi, Oct 10: The Joint Admission Board (JAB) announced that the number of seats for eligible candidates for Joint Engineering Examination (JEE) Advanced 2018 is increased by 4,000. Thus, the number of seats for JEE Advanced 2018 exam has been increased from 2.20 lakh to 2.24 lakh.
The JEE Advanced 2018 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) – Kanpur on May 20. Aspiring candidates can visit the official website jeeadv.ac.in for further notifications. The website mentions that “candidates should be among the top 2,24,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2018”, reported The Indian Express.
By passing the JEE Advanced, students can get admissions into all IITs, NITs, IIITs and ISM Dhanbad. For students who want to take admission for various engineering courses across the nation will have to give JEE Main, conducted by CBSE. After clearing JEE Main, they will be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced.
This JEE Advanced 2018 exam will be computer-based and will consist of Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper will be given three hours for completion.
