Patna, July 26: Amid the escalating row within the ruling grand alliance in Bihar, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said he was not asked by anyone to resign. The 28-year-old dismissed the reports of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar pressing for his resignation, calling them baseless. The Yadav scion, instead, accused the BJP and RSS of conspiring to break the grand alliance government in the state.
“I was never asked to resign. It is RSS-BJP which wants to break the grand alliance. But people of Bihar can see through their conspiracy. They will not succeed in breaking apart the secular forces,” Tejashwi said, amid reports quoting top JD(U) sources claiming that Nitish Kumar is committed to remove him from the Cabinet, till the CBI drops the corruption charges against him.
