After AAP ‘shows’ EVMs can be tampered with, EC sources say MLA used ‘prototype’, not ECI EVM

Aam Aadmi Party’s demonstration of tampering being possible with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) was not done on the machines used by the Election Commission of India, ANI quoting sources reported on Monday. "Aam Aadmi Party demonstrated in Delhi Assembly on prototype electronic voting machine (EVM) & not on ECI EVM," Election Commission sources told news agency ANI. The AAP today staged a "live demonstration" of alleged EVM manipulation in the Delhi Assembly. AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj, who was deputed by DelhiChief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the purpose, claimed that anyone knowing a "secret code" can tamper with the EVMs and the code can be fed into a machine while the vote is being cast.
