A lot of people talk about academia – industry linkage but very few practice.
He is an An example of a practice:
At the vibrant ceramics 2016, The young brigade of volunteers who were attached as ‘buddies’ to each of the 610 foreign delegate last from 25 countries, did an amazing job of handling the delegates right from airport pick up to hotel, to venue, to their car arrangement, to lunch, to dinner, on all three days, to summit hall, to exhibition visit, to shopping, to money exchange, to sight seeing, to Morbi factory visit, to problem solving, to acting as interpreters, to communications, to the walk in the riverfront and so much more.
They became real life time buddies. All delegates wrote to me that the best part of vibrant ceramics was the way the volunteers assisted the delegates with everything. Volunteers worked tirelessly for three days from 7 am to 12 midnight, always on their toes.
We also got to know about the stats of business generated and investment intentions of foreign delegates through volunteers. They also took their video interviews of experiences on their smart phones and documented it.
Jai ho to the energy & passion of our youth. They made Gujarat & India proud. We are proud to have such committed youth in our country.
