Delhi: Two boys run over by train while trying to click photos at railway track

Trying to click photos on a railway track proved fatal for two Class X students, who were hit by a train in east Delhi’s Mayur Vihar. Police said seven boys had gone to the railway track to click selfies and photos of each other while returning home from tuition classes, at 4.30 pm Saturday. The incident took place at the northern railway line which connects New Delhi railway station with Anand Vihar railway station. The boys who died, Yash Kumar and Shubhma Saini, were students of Aster Public School and took math and science tuition in Shashi Garden.

I am used to being ignored at awards. My aim is to become a favourite among the audiences. Awards are not as important as audiences’ approval of the work I’m doing."

Delhi govt in the process of opening more vocational training centres, says Manish Sisodia

In order to promote skill-based education, Delhi government is in process of opening new vocational training centres and strengthening the existing ones, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said in New Delhi on Monday. Sisodia, who is also the Education Minister, made the remarks during a meeting with a visiting delegation from Australia and senior officials of the Department of Education who discussed setting up of training institutes to enhance the training of educators and improve vocational courses and skill development programmes in the national capital.

Rajendra Kumar blames Najeeb Jung for his arrest in graft case

Suspended IAS officer and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s ex-principal secretary Rajendra Kumar today blamed former Lt Governor Najeeb Jung for his arrest by the CBI in a graft case claiming it was part of efforts to "educate" him. In a blog post, he also alleged that Jung had put pressure on him to frame a "vice-chancellor" of a Delhi government-run university but no case could be made out against the functionary.
