Noida, Sep 29: A first-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) student of Galgotias University committed suicide on Thursday. The student’s parents have alleged ‘constant ragging’ by the seniors. More details are awaited.
A few days ago, two Class VIII students, attempted suicide in their school in Luxettipet, Hyderabad. Unable to bear the alleged harassment of seniors, the girls consumed a chemical in her school laboratory on September 9. One of the girls died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital and the other one is said to be in a critical state. Her parents alleged negligence in providing treatment to the girl on time.
he students were rushed to a local hospital, then to a government hospital in Mancherial and then to Warangal MGM Hospital and to a private clinic in Hanamkonda. As their condition got serious, the girls were shifted to a corporate hospital in Hyderabad.
The student organisations staged a dharna at Luxettipet-Uttoor crossroads demanding immediate suspension of Gurukul School Principal Kavitha.
