New Delhi March 20: The ever-growing feud between Mohammed Shami and his estranged wife Hasin Jahan, on Monday, hit a new low after a Pakistani woman named Alishba – who is accused of having an affair with the Indian cricketer and handing him money at the behest of a UK-based man named Mohammad bhai – confirmed meeting the fast bowler in Dubai.
Alishba’s confirmation came after Shami’s wife had alleged that her husband had taken money from the Pakistani girl when he was returning home after India’s tour of South Africa. She further accused Shami of match-fixing. Amongst her various sensational accusations, it was this particular allegation that forced the Committee of Administrators (CoA) Vinod Rai to look into the matter closely.
With the head of its anti-corruption body Neeraj Kumar being asked to submit a report in a week’s time, Alishba’s admission to meeting Shami in Dubai when he was returning from South Africa has further fuelled the case. Alishba claimed she has been in touch with Shami ever since India’s shocking defeat to Pakistan in the 2017 Champions Trophy final.
“Yes, I met him. I am a frequent flyer to Dubai because my sister stays in Sharjah. As a person, I really like Shami. As any fan that has idolised a celebrity, they always dream of meeting their idol. I had the desire to meet him (Shami) like any other fan would want to, which I don’t think is a big deal,” Alishba told ABP News.
