New Delhi, Jan 3: The rift in the Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) is out in public after the party announced its candidates for nominations to the Rajya Sabha as party leader Kumar Vishwas launched a satirical attack on party convener Arvind Kejriwal saying it was not possible to remain in AAP if one disagrees with him.
The emotional outburst came after AAP nominated Sanjay Singh, businessman Sushil Gupta and chartered accountant ND Gupta to the Rajya Sabha. The decision was announced after the party leadership held a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) in New Delhi, in which Vishwas not invited.
“I have been honoured with a punishment for speaking the truth in the party. Once Arvind Kejriwal had said that we will kill you, but will not let you attain martyrdom. I congratulate him and I welcome my martyrdom,” he said.
“I know nothing happens in the party without your (Kejriwal) wish. I can’t live in the party after disagreeing with you. Now that I have attained martyrdom, I request to leave the corpse alone,” he added.
