New Delhi, Dec 27: In what could trigger a fresh round of political slug-fest between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Opposition in Uttar Pradesh, the state government on Wednesday initiated the process of withdrawing over 20,000 casesconsidered to be ‘politically motivated’. The cases include eight against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
According to reports, Governor Ram Naik has okayed the withdrawal of thousands of cases based on recommendations sent by the ruling BJP in the state.
