Lucknow, Nov 15: A man was shot at and injured by Air Force personnel on Tuesday evening while he was attempting to jump over the wall of Hindon Airbase in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad. The man was identified as 25-year-old Sujit who is a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh and has been living in Anand Vihar for past three years. He was later admitted to a hospital and Air Force officials informed the whole incident to Ghaziabad Police.
Sujit was warned by security personnel to stop while he was trying to scale the wall of the Hindon Airbase. As he ignored the warnings, he was shot in the left leg in order to immobilise him, senior police officer Rakesh Kumar Singh told a news agency. Sujit said that he was trying to scale the wall just to sit there. “I didn’t have anything to eat and just wanted to sit there. I won’t do it again,” he told news agency ANI.
