New Delhi, Nov 7: Following successful conduction of the National Eligibility Test (NET) 2017 on November 5 in 91 cities across India, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that the results will be out in January 2018. Candidates will also be able to download the answer keys soon, it stated.
An official statement by the CBSE claimed that 9.3 lakh candidates registered for the examination held to be eligible for the positions of Assistant Professor and /or obtain the Junior Research Fellowship.
The examination was held on Sunday and consisted of three papers. Paper 1 was a common paper for all and consisted questions to test the candidates’ teaching aptitude. On the other hand, the other two papers contained multiple choice questions from the opted subjects.
The first two papers contained 50 questions and were conducted for 1.45 hrs and the third consisted of 75 questions and was held for 2.5 hours
CBSE said 75 per cent of the registered applicants arrived.
