Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Journey to Cost Rs 3,000

Ahmedabad, September 14: The fare of the journey between Mumbai and Ahmedabad of High-Speed Bullet Train is expected to cost Passengers between Rs 2700 to Rs 3000, reported Zee News. The ambitious project is likely to cost more than Rs. one lakh crores in five years.

After the laying stone of High-Speed Bullet Train, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the project will take five years for its completion. The project will be built with joint funding of India and Japan. Japan will provide a loan of Rs. Eighty-Eight Thousand Crore at the interest of 0.1 Percent per annum.

The Prime Minister said that this high-speed railway would not only bring two cities closer but also bring the people living hundreds of kilometres away, closer to each other. He said a new economic system is being developed along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor, and the entire area would become a single economic zone.

The Prime Minister said technology is useful only if it provides benefit to the common man. He said the technology transfer envisaged in this project will benefit Indian Railways, and boost the “Make in India” initiative. He said the project would be eco-friendly as well as human-friendly. He said “high-speed corridors” would be regions for rapid growth in the future.
