New Delhi, Sept 12: Seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur, who was murdered inside his school Ryan International in Gurugram last week, had seen the accused bus conductor masturbating in the washroom, said the police. According to reports, two other students had also seen the conductor, Ashok Kumar, inside the washroom before the murder took place. The two had gone to the washroom to change their Karate uniform, says a DNA report.
The report quoting police officials says that when the two students walked out of the washroom, Pradyuman walked in. He pushed the door and saw the conductor masturbating following which Kumar allegedly tried to sexually assault Pradyuman and when he contested, he stabbed the child on his neck.
The report says that the gardener saw the conductor move out of the washroom and also saw Pradyuman crawling at the door of the washroom after which he raised an alarm. The police tried to recreate the crime scene based on the eyewitnesses accounts.
The bus driver, meanwhile, has said that there was no knife in the bus as has been claimed by Kumar. “Parked bus in school at around 7.50 am, after that where the conductor went I don’t know,” said the bus driver Saurabh. “I knew the conductor for last few months, never thought he would commit such a crime,” he added.
Seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur was found dead in the washroom of Ryan International School in Gurugram’s Sohna Road last week. Pradyuman’s father had on Monday moved Supreme Court seeking a CBI probe into the murder. The apex court has issued notices to Centre, the HRD Ministry, Haryana Government and CBSE seeking a report.
On the other hand, anticipating arrest, Ryan International School Director Ryan Pinto moved court seeking anticipatory bail after reports of police teams heading to Mumbai to probe him over the murder. The bail plea will come up for hearing on Tuesday.
