Nandan Nilekani Postpones US Trip Amid Speculation of Him Becoming New Infosys Head

New Delhi, August 24: Days after the sudden resignation of Infosys CEO and MD Vishal Sikka, Nandan Nilekani who was one of the co-founders of India’s second-largest software technology exporter Infosys may come back in the role of non-executive chairman of the board. Amid speculation of becoming new Infosys Chief, Nilekani has postponed a 2-month visit to the US and is now staying back in Bengaluru. As per reports by TOI, Nilekani is seriously considering a formal role in Infosys.

As per reports by TOI, people familiar with the development were quoted saying that Nilekani is yet to make up his mind and there is a chance that this will happen as the co-founder is seriously considering it. Reports stated that Nilekani will come back as nonexecutive chairman which clearly states that he will not be in any operations or business role.
