New Delhi, August 23: The pre-booking for the most awaited 4G VoLTE-enabled JioPhone begins tomorrow i.e. August 24, 2017. The beta testing of the JioPhone already started n August 15 and will be offered to users at one-time fully refundable deposit of Rs 1,500 per unit. The booking will start from September 24 online as well as through Reliance Retail and Jio stores and the delivery of the phone will commence from September onwards on a first-come-first-served basis. Reliance Jio has started tapping into the interest for JioPhone. The home page of the company’s website has a section ‘Keep me posted’ with an image of the phone where people interested can submit their name, e-mail and phone number for any update on the device.
Here’s how you can pre-book the JioPhone:
The feature phone will be sold on a first come first serve basis. So, anyone who wishes to get their hands on the new JioPhone, one has to pre-book it.
- A customer can also buy the Reliance JioPhone using Reliance Jio’s MyJio app. A user will have an access to MyJio app only if he/she is a Jio user.
- Those who are interested to book a JioPhone can log on to to the official website of Reliance Jio, www.jio.com and click on the “Keep me posted” link.
- A pop-up page will appear with an application form seeking a name, email ID, phone number etc. Fill out all necessary details and click on the submit button. Once this is done, the pre-booking process is complete.
- A customer can buy the feature phone by visiting the Jio retailer from August 24.
- Users who wish to buy the JioPhone can also register their interest for JioPhone through SMS, Jio customer care confirmed. To register, they have to type “JP<>your area PIN code<>Jio Store code near your locality” and send it to 7021170211. If you do not have the code near your locality, you can visit the nearest Jio store and ask for the code.
