Mumbai, August 20: Mumbai Railways is all set to observe the weekly mega block on the Central, Harbour, and Western Lines on Sunday. The services of Mumbai local trains, on all these lines, will remain affected. Notably, in a bid to avoid inconvenience to the passengers, the Railway authority has released the schedule of changes in the operations of the local trains. Reportedly, the local train services on the Up and Down fast line and Up and Down slow line will be affected due to the block.
According to IRCTC information, the Mumbai Railways has not yet announced the mega block on the Harbour Line the local trains on Sunday. Meanwhile, reports claim that a jumbo block may affect the services of the local trains on the Western Line whereas, on the Central line, the Central Railway will conduct a power block between Dombivli and Kalyan on all six lines on Sunday due to the construction of Road Over Bridge at Thakurli.
Central Line
Noteworthy, all Suburban train services will be suspended during the block period. The block will start at 9.15 am and end at 12.45 pm. During the block, down line services for Kasara/Asangaon/Titwala leaving CSMT from 08.36 am to 11.34 am will remain cancelled and down line services for Karjat/Badlapur/Ambernath leaving CSMT from 08.29 am to 11.50 am will also remain cancelled.
Western Line
On the Western line, there will be a mega block on the Up and Down fast lines between Borivali and Bhayandar stations between 11 am to 2 pm on Sunday. This block will be carried out for the maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment. During the block, all Up trains will run on Up slow line from Virar/Vasai Road to Borivali and all Down trains will run on Down slow line from Borivali to Vasai Road/Virar.
