New Delhi, August 19: Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Gorakhpur on Saturday. While the CM is there to attend a function, the Congress scion will visit BRD Medical College, where over 70 children died in 10 days due to Japanese encephalitis. Political fireworks are expected as the issue is still red-hot and the Congress leader would target the BJP government in the State to score much-needed brownie points.
The opposition is up-in-arms against the BJP governments in the state and at the Centre, alleging gross negligence in the hospital. The UP administration has already taken action against office bearers in the office, however, the opposition was demanding the resignation of UP health minister Sidharthnath Singh.
