New Delhi, August 13: Six people were confirmed killed and several feared trapped as a massive landslide hit Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. As per reports, the landslide occurred around midnight and damaged the Mandi-Pathankot National Highway 154 as well.
As per latest reports, two buses are feared to have been washed away in the landslide. With this authorities fear the death toll might cross 50. As per a Times of India report, one of the bus was on its way to Katra in Jammu from Manali, while the other was on its way to Chamba from Manali.
Initial reports claimed several vehicles, including a bus is feared trapped in the debris on NH 154 at Kotrupi village of Padhar in the district. The injured persons were taken to a hospital.
