New Delhi, July 19: A popular Assamese actress-singer Bidisha Bezbaruah allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself. Her body was recovered, hanging from a ceiling fan, from her flat at Sushant apartment in Gurgaon’s Sector 43 late on Monday evening. She was a popular face in the Assamese film industry. The actress was last seen in Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos which released on Friday.
According to a new report, the police have booked Bezbaruah’s husband, Nisheeth Jha, for abetment to suicide and arrested him on Tuesday on the complaint of the actress’s father. An FIR has been registered against Jha under Section 306 (abatement to suicide) of IPC at Sushant Lok police station.
