Good Samaritans honoured for helping north East residents

New Delhi (21/03/2022): In order to honour selfless philanthropic works of good Samaritans who helped different individuals from the North East part of the country, social organisation Helping Hands organised “North East Samaritan Gold Medal Awards” on 20th March, 2022 at India International Centre, New Delhi.

M.C. Mary Kom, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Tara Gandhi, Granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi for the event, graced the event as it’s chief guests.

The award ceremony witnessed awards being handed over in two segments namely, NE Samaritan Gold Medal & NE Samaritan Award.

The “NE Samaritan Gold Medal” & “NE Samaritan Award” were awarded to the Samaritans from all spheres of life who have selflessly contributed and rendered their services to the helpless and distressed North East folks.

The organization also honoured the three heroes who have made supreme sacrifice of their lives serving others during Covid.

During the event, biography of Robin Hibu, IPS authored by Thanmi Khamrang was also unveiled. The Biography showcases the inspiring journey of Robin Hibu from his childhood in a Gandhi Ashram at remotest corners of Hong village in Arunachal Pradesh to achieving the top position as an elite IPS Officer.
