New Delhi, 24 December, 2021: Diablo restaurant in South Delhi’s Mehrauli Area at 10:30 pm on Thursday was raided and sealed by Delhi police for violating the Covid-19 protocols.
District. Magistrate , Sonalika Jivani said: “A flying squad team went for a suprise inspection at the restaurant; there were atleast 600 people in the restaurant in complete violation of prevelent covid protocols.”
Delhi Police said, “A case against the owner of the restaurant has been registered under IPCC 188, 269 for violating the DDMA order (in view of increasing COVID cases and Omicron scare)”.
Delhi Disaster Management authority (DDMA) has prohibited massive gatherings & cultural events for Christmas & New Year in view of increasing omicron cases in Delhi, and as per the rules Restaurants and bars are allowed to open at half the seating capacity.
