Passengers travelling by train in the month of December have to take a slight change in their travel as Indian Railways have cancelled a few trains from December 01, 2021, till February 2022. A total of trains will be cancelled in the winter season from December 01, 2021, to February 28, 2022, and will be resumed from March 01, 2022.
The railways have covered around 600 trains during the festive seasons in the month of October and November to avoid rushes due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The trains which functioned the most were during Diwali and Chhath Puja, along with the special trains. According to Western Railways, the special trains run between Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat.
