New initiative aims to preserve 7 neglected stepwells.
New Delhi: In a bid to revive the city’s historical steepwells which lie in ruins due to rapid urbanisation, a new initiative has been launched to preserve seven baolis across the national capital. The baolis, which were once a major source of water for civilisations that sprung up around them, are being digitised by The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (Intach) in collaboration with Google.
