Baahubali 2 box-office collection day 25: Dangal to beat SS Rajamoulis epic at the box office

Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal is expected to cross the lifetime global box-office collection of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion by as early as Tuesday.
Unbelievable. Every day, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Dangal, starring Aamir Khan, are breaking box-office records. And now, unbelievably, according to latest reports, Dangal might just beat Baahubali 2 at the global box-office!
Dangal got a new lease of life when it got released in China eighteen days ago. Within the first 17 days, Dangal earned a mammoth $ 112 million (Rs 721 crore) from just Chinese theatres. This has catapulted the global box-office collection of Dangal to Rs 1,501.64 crore ($ 225.7 million) according to trade analyst Ramesh Bala.

Meanwhile, Baahubali 2, was released in four languages; Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, worldwide on June 28. In the first 23 days since its release, the film has earned Rs 1,538 crore.

At the most, the SS Rajamouli epic is expected to hit the Rs 1600-crore mark at the box office. However, considering the pace at which Dangal is making money, the Aamir Khan-starrer will beat Baahubali 2 at the box office any day now.
On Sunday, Dangal reportedly sold almost 2 million tickets in China. At the current pace, Dangal’s box-office collection will cross Baahubali 2’s before Tuesday itself. However, it must be noted that Baahubali 2 is yet to release in China.
Meanwhile, back in India, Half Girlfriend, based on the Chetan Bhagat book of the same name and directed by Mohit Suri earned an estimated Rs 32.05 crore in the first three days. Despite overwhelmingly negative reviews, the romantic comedy is expected to earn no less than Rs 50 crore (nett) from Indian theatres.
