
Over 400 private Delhi schools were in for a major jolt after Supreme Court (SC) rejected the plea of the schools that challenged Delhi High Court’s (HC) order concerning fee hike by schools. The Supreme Court on Monday passed a judgement stating that all the Delhi private schools need a nod from Delhi government before hiking the fees. While upholding the High Court’s 2016 judgment, the apex court said, "Once you have taken land from DDA (Delhi Development Authority) you have to abide by the Education Act".
