Today in New Delhi at Jantar Mantar, Dalits claimed that the Thakurs assaulted them, set fire to their houses and even desecrated their Sant Ravi Das temple in Saharanpur Uttar Pradesh.
Following this, they started protesting against the incident, they stated that, we are protesting, after 20-25 youth of the upper caste Thakur community were taking out a procession to garland the statue of Rajput warrior-king Maharana Pratap, when the Dalit locals objected to the loud music being played and Thakurdwar beated Dalits, protesters claimed.
They further demanded that, union government should register a case against all the miscreants and punish them, to convey a message to everyone.
