Indian automobile manufacturers announced their Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) model for the W6 variant of their Mahindra XUV300. This is only available in the diesel model. Powered by a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine, this car gives out 115 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque. The autoSHIFT AMT unit is 5-speed and the gearbox offers acceleration and makes it easy to overtake. There are also additional features like Electronic Stability Program and Hill Assist to add more to the comfort of the user. The gearbox comes equipped with a Vehicle Creep Function and will further assist when the vehicle is in traffic. This feature, however, will be disabled if the doors of the car are open.

The Mahindra XUV300 W6 comes at a price of Rs. 9.99 lakh, which is Rs. 1.50 lakh cheaper than the W8 AMT version and Rs. 49,000 more expensive than its diesel manual variant.
