New Delhi (14/08/19) A condolence meeting was organised in the memory of BJP leader and former Union Minister Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi yesterday.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi also joined Shradhanjali Sabha (Prayer Meeting). He termed Sushma Ji as a leader who diligently served India and highlighted various aspects of her public life. Recalling her contributions, the Prime Minister said that every BJP Karyakarta was blessed to have closely interacted with Sushma Ji. He added, “Sushma Ji was a multifaceted personality and we, Karyakartas of the BJP have seen very closely what a great personality she was.”
Addressing in the ceremony, Bansuri Swaraj daughter of Sushma Swaraj recalled the memories and expressed gratitude towards all for their support and wishes in their difficult time. In the prayer meet Bansuri said, “I know that calling her my mother will be an act of selfishness. A lot of people have experienced and felt her motherly love. That’s why I know people are not here only to share our pain but are also feeling and realising it”
She further added, Sushma Swaraj was brave who would roar like a lioness in parliament and would have the laughter of a five year old innocent kid. Her absence will never be forgotten with time. I am blessed to be her daughter.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders, besides family, friends and other admirers gave a tearful goodbye to the 67 years old politician.
