BMW 3 Series

The all new BMW 3 Series will be based on CLAR platform which underpins its older brethren 5 Series and the 7 Series. The model houses a 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre turbo petrol and diesel engine options, all of which will be mated to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission. It also houses a kidney-shaped grille followed by the laser beam headlights. The rear-view take inspiration from the 5 series. Interiorly it gets a large 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and BMW’s Intelligent personal assistant not to mention the Heads up display (HUD), memory seats, electric sunroof and several other noted features. The vehicle offers a significant weight reduction of 55kgs and also 481 litres of boot space and about 36 litres of space is available across the cabin. The 2019 BMW 3 series will be priced at Rs 39.8 lakh and goes upto Rs 47.3 lakh for the top end. It will lock horns with the likes of Audi A4, Mercedes C Class and Jaguar XE. The model is scheduled to launch on Aug 21 in India and many car dealers are claiming that it is one of the popular entry-level premium sedans in our country.
