ICC World Cup 2019 Commentators List: A star-studded commentator line-up will entertain more than a billion viewers of ICC World CUp 2019. Celebrated Indian commentators include former players such as Saurav Ganguly and Sanjay Manjrekar, apart from analyst Harsha Bhogle. Many other well-known cricketers from yesteryears are on the elite panel. International greats from the game include former England captains Nasser Hussain and Michael Vaughan, former South African captain Graeme Smith, renowned all-rounder, Shaun Pollock, Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara, New Zealand seamer Simon Doull, opener Brendon McCullum, Pakistan legend Wasim Akram and his fellow-countryman, Rameez Raja, Australian captain Michael Clarke, opener Michael Slater, West Indies seamers Michael Holding and Ian Bishop, Zimbabwean cricketer, Pommie Mbangwa, apart from Mark Nicholas, Melanie Jones and Isa Guha.
The ICC media release quoted Nasser Hussain as saying, “The whole of England and Wales is buzzing with excitement in anticipation of the massive summer of cricket ahead. This edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup promises to be the most entertaining one yet and I cannot wait to be part of this event broadcast and witness history in the making, first hand.” Brendon McCullum described the World Cup as a marquee event in cricket.
The ICC has stated that apart from live coverage for all 48 matches over a month and a half, viewers will have exposure to “state-of-the-art coverage which will include a minimum of 32 cameras at every game, including eight ultra-motion Hawk-Eye cameras, front and reverse view stump cameras and Spidercam.” It further said that among the highlights would be the introduction of a “broadcast will produce 360° replays, provided by Piero which allows multiple camera feeds to be stitched together to create stunning video that helps provide in-depth analysis of big moments in the game.”
