Cold morning in Delhi, air quality slips to very ‘very poor’ category

New Delhi, It was a cold, foggy morning in the national capital on Thursday with the minimum temperature settling at 9.7 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal, and air quality slipping to ‘very poor’, the Met office said. The air quality was ‘very poor’ with the air quality index (AQI) recorded at 326, according to the Central Pollution Control Board. On Wednesday, AQI was recorded at 145 at 0900 hrs. The relative humidity till 0830 was pegged at 100 per cent. There will be moderate fog during the day, with maximum temperature likely to hover around at 20 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature on Wednesday settled at 19.9 degrees C, a notch below the normal.
