Cold wintry morning in Delhi , air quality ‘poor’

New Delhi, The national capital woke up to a chilly winter morning on Tuesday with minimum temperature settling at 6 degrees C, a notch below season’s average. Relative humidity was 97 per cent at 0830 hrs, the weatherman said. The air quality witnessed slight improvement as compared to what it was since last week and was now ‘poor’ with an index value of 213 at 0800 hours. Though the city experienced shallow fog in the early hours, the sky is likely to be clear during the day while maximum temperature is to hover around 19 degrees C, the weatherman said. On Monday, the maximum temperature settled at 19.5 degrees C, a notch below season’s average.
