New Delhi: Differences between four men over the choice of song at a Durga Puja pandal led to one of their deaths. The incident occurred in Delhi’s Khyala area.
The victim, identified as Riyaz (44), had been to visit the pandal near his house and reportedly requested the person in charge to change the song that was being played. This led to an argument that got out of hand, ending up in Riyaz getting stabbed in the head with a knife.
The injured man was rushed to a hospital. Later, he was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital, where he breathed his last.
According to the police, the three men involved in the incident were arrested. The accused have been identified as Vinay, Manoj and Mahesh. The trio confessed to the crime after they were arrested.
Riyaz’s body was handed over to his family on Tuesday.
