Dilip Kumar Saha, an 18-year-old student was critically injured when he tried to commit suicide by jumping off the school building. He was allegedly forced by the teachers to get a rakhi tied by his girlfriend, but he refused and took this extreme step.
Principal and other teachers of a private school called him and his girlfriend along with their parents and then asked the girl to tie Rakhi to him and both of them refused to do so.
Following which, Dilip went to the second floor of the school building and jumped from there. He was taken to a hospital and his condition is still critical.
The parents and students staged a protest and demanded the arrest of the teachers of the school authorities involved in the incident.
An investigation has been started after the school authorities filed a complaint.
