Baripada: A married woman chopped off her husband’s genital after her illicit affair with another person was exposed before him.
The incident took place under Bangiriposi police limits in Mayurbhanj district on Thursday.
According to reports, the woman and her lover assaulted husband and injured his genital with a cutting weapon (a curved knife with a wooden base that is used for chopping vegetables in kitchen). After neighbours reached the house hearing screaming of the victim, the accused along with her boyfriend fled the spot.
He was rushed to Bangiriposi Community Health Centre in critical condition. After his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Baripada hospital.
A written complaint was lodged against the wife and her lover at Bangiriposi police station.
